From May 23 to 28, the 7th Digital China Summit, jointly hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Data Administration, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and the Fujian Provincial People’s Government, was held in Fuzhou, Fujian Province. In the Guangdong exhibition area, the Guangdong Intellectual Property Protection Center's Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Intellectual Property Big Data Comprehensive Service Platform project (https://www.gpic.gd.cn/) was showcased as the only intellectual property-related digital project at the exhibition.
This year's summit, themed "Unlocking the Value of Data Elements to Develop New Productivity," focused on data resources, fully exploring and utilizing the value of data elements to drive economic and social development. Guangdong Province participated in the summit as the guest province and set up the Guangdong exhibition area. The center, one of the 15 selected provincial units, showcased the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Intellectual Property Big Data Comprehensive Service Platform project under the theme "Intellectual Property Big Data, Serving the Innovation and Development of the Bay Area."
The platform deeply integrates global intellectual property big data resources, providing innovative entities with query and statistical analysis services for 15 types of intellectual property-related data, including patent information, trademarks, and geographical indications. The platform offers access to 179 million global patent data, over 95 million trademark data from China, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Madrid, 2,508 protected geographical indication product data, 26,000 enterprise data approved for the use of special marks, and 71,000 integrated circuit layout data. The construction and operation of the platform have significantly enhanced Guangdong Province's service capabilities in the field of intellectual property protection and provided strong support for the innovative development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Through this platform, the center has successfully established a leading one-stop service and data resource system for intellectual property, effectively promoting the region's innovation capabilities and revitalizing technological innovation resources.
