Recently, the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) hosted an intellectual property (IP) training workshop for Central Asia in Beijing. CNIPA Deputy Commissioner Lu Pengqi attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
Lu stated that in line with President Xi Jinping's keynote speech at the China-Central Asia Summit, the CNIPA has established the China-Central Asia Heads of IP Office Meeting mechanism, further solidifying the foundation for IP cooperation between China and Central Asia. This training workshop is one of the practical measures to implement this mechanism and will focus on the IP legal system and patent examination practices. Lu hoped that all parties will take this opportunity to enhance understanding, learn from each other, and expand practical cooperation.
The five-day training workshop included classroom teaching, interactive salons, experiential visits and other courses, with representatives from the patent examination departments of Central Asian IP institutions engaging in in-depth discussions and exchanges.
