Shen Changyu Met with Deputy Director General John Sandage of WIPO

On January 22, Commissioner Shen Changyu of China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) met with a delegation of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) led by Deputy Director General John Sandage in Beijing. Shen Changyu introduced to the delegation on the latest development of China's IP cause, reviewed the important cooperation between CNIPA and WIPO, and expressed his wish for the two sides to deepen cooperation and make more fruitful achievements in the future. John Sandage conveyed the New Year greetings of Director General Francis Gurry of WIPO to CNIPA. He remarked that WIPO expects to deepen cooperation with CNIPA, and in particular, strengthen communication in fields of organization of international conferences, IP arbitration and mediation as well as PCT. During the visit of John Sandage, Deputy Commissioner He Zhimin of CNIPA made in-depth exchanges with him concerning specific matters related to cooperation in the field of PCT. It is learnt that during his stay in China, John Sandage will also visit the Patent Examination Cooperation Hubei Center of the Patent Office, CNIPA, as well as PCT users in Beijing and Wuhan.
