China strengthens the training of international intellectual property talents

"In the field of intellectual property rights in my country, there is a shortage of talents of all types, especially high-level talents with a complex knowledge structure, familiar with international affairs and international rules, with an international vision and strategic thinking." At the graduation ceremony of high-level talent training and experience exchange meeting, Tian Lipu, director of the State Intellectual Property Office, said that my country adds 30% of patent examination cases every year. It highlights the urgent need for intellectual property talents. To this end, the State Intellectual Property Office has launched a leading talent training project, a high-level talent training project and a backbone talent training project.

 

    It is understood that the personnel who have graduated this time are the first batch of training objects for the high-level talent training project, with a total of 119 students. They are divided into 6 types, including patent examination, intellectual property international affairs, legal affairs, strategy and policy research, informatization, and teaching, and have been trained for 5 years. At present, 70% of the bureau-level topics and 75% of major special projects of the State Intellectual Property Office are undertaken by this group, and the main teachers of various intellectual property trainings also come from this group.

 

It is reported that the State Intellectual Property Office will also select 28 examiners from the substantive examination departments for international key training. In 2013 and 2015, two batches of talents will be selected, and about 400 high-end intellectual property talents will be trained by the end of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan". 100 leading intellectual property talents.
