Mr. Long obtained a Master’s degree in genetic engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Jinan University with a solid and broad technical expertise. Before joining Bairui, Mr. Long worked at CENFO Intellectual Property Agency as a patent attorney specializing in the fields of medicine, pharmaceutic, biology, chemistry, genetic engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, etc. Currently in charge of the Biochemical Team at Bairui, Mr. Long is responsible for training intern attorneys and supervising the department’s work and operation.

By virtue of his long-term studies and practice in advanced technical fields, Mr. Long has a profound comprehension of the state-of-the-art development of technology and patent application in relevant fields. Mr. Long not only has deep expertise in a wide range of patent practices such as patent search, drafting, response to office action, reexamination, but also is experienced in patent invalidation and patent infringement litigation. Because of his rich experience in handling various complicated cases, he is capable of offering practical and professional advice to clients. One of Mr. Long’s representative cases was his counseling of Niu Technologies on its Chinese and European patent portfolio in 2019, where he provided guidance on the patent application of this influential Chinese energy vehicle company.

Mr. Long has drafted over 1,000 patent applications. Moreover, he has handled and supported a number of patent infringement litigation cases, effectively defending the legal rights and interests of the clients and recovering their economic losses. For years, Mr. Long has been serving clients positively and responsibly, which is highly praised by clients. Among them, Mr. Long has handled over 80 patent applications and provided IP legal counsel for Tenneco (China) Ltd. with his professional knowledge and excellent English since 2015.
